The New Backlinks report in Site Explorer shows all the new backlinks that your website or URL received for the time-frame selected.
Sometimes, you may notice a "Delayed" label in red next to one or more of these backlinks.
Let's get familiar with what the Delayed label means:
Delayed - Our robots have discovered the linking page more than 90 days ago, but we only crawled it just now due to our crawl prioritisation algorithms (hence the term - delayed).
It looks like this:
Please note:
Keep in mind that the new backlinks reported by Ahrefs are not due to the date that they were published or went live; but instead when Ahrefs crawled and indexed them.
Also pay attention to the "Found" column to see when we last crawled the Referring page and found the backlink (pictured in image below):
