Ever wondered what each of the metrics in Domain Comparison report mean? 

Here's a quick explanation. :) 

Domain Rating

Domain Rating shows how strong a backlink profile of a target website is on a scale from 1 to 100 (with the latter being the strongest). Backlinks from sites with higher DR carry more "weight". Learn more.

Facebook

The sum of shares, comments and reactions of the target domain on Facebook.

Pinterest

The number of shares of the target domain on Pinterest. 

Referring Domains

Shows the total number of individual websites linking to a target domain.

  • .gov domains - Number of "referring .gov domains"
  • .edu domains - Number of "referring .edu domains"
  • .com domains - Number of "referring .com domains"
  • .net domains - Number of "referring .net domains"
  • .org domains - Number of "referring .org domains"

Ref IPs

Number of "referring IP addresses" pointing to the target domain. 

SubNets

Number of "subnets" that are pointing to the target domain. A subnetwork or subnet is a logical subdivision of an IP network. 

Referring pages

Shows the total number of unique pages linking to a target domain.

Backlinks

Shows the total number of backlinks pointing to a target domain

Crawled Pages

The number of pages on a target domain that Ahrefs crawler has visited and saved to Ahrefs' index.

Text

Number of "text links" throughout the target domain. This can be internal or external links. 

DoFollow

Shows the number of backlinks that don't have the "nofollow" attribute applied. Dofollow links are commonly considered to pass "weight" and help a target domain to rank better in organic search results.

NoFollow

Number of "nofollow links" throughout the target domain. 

Redirect

Number of "redirect links" throughout the target domain. 

Image

Number of "image links" throughout the target domain. This can be internal or external links. 

Form

Number of "form elements" that are used in the source code of the target domain. Form elements include different types of input elements, like text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, submit buttons, and more.

.gov 

Number of ".gov links" that are pointing to the target domain.

.edu

Number of ".edu links" that are pointing to the target domain.
