You can monitor daily changes in organic keyword positions, organic pages, and referring domains and backlinks using Site Explorer > Calendar report:

The Calendar report lets you visualise all the day-to-day changes for organic keywords positions, organic pages, and referring domains in a calendar format.

  1. The Positions report shows all the changes in your organic keyword positions.

  2. The Pages report shows all the new pages that started ranking for at least one keyword in the top 100, as well as pages that lost their keyword rankings.

  3. The Referring domains report lets you visualise all the day-to-day changes for new and lost referring domains in a calendar format.

  4. The Backlinks report allows you to track new and lost backlinks on a daily basis.

Google Core Updates and relevant Ahrefs Updates are also annotated, which can be hovered over for more information:

If there are any significant changes on a particular day, you can check if a Google or Ahrefs update happened near that date.

Selecting date ranges

You can click and drag on the calendar itself to select a custom date range:

To see further back than the most recent 3 months, use the data range selector and select "Custom range":

Positions and Pages reports has all the great keyword filter options that the Organic Keywords report has:

This is similarly available for the backlink filter options for the Referring domains report.

You can also check the SERP history and positions history for the keyword, and export them out to CSV or Google sheets for further analysis:
