Where forecasted search volumes for a keyword can be found
At Ahrefs, we provide a trend line for each keyword that shows its past search volumes (in blue), and forecasted future search volumes (in orange):
You can hover over the graph to see the estimated forecast search volume for individual months:
When viewing multiple keywords at once, a small version of this trend line can be seen next to the Search Volume metric:
This feature is available for all paid subscription plans.
Which keywords have search volume forecasting?
We only provide forecasting for keywords that has 200 or more monthly search volume, and sufficient data to create estimations.
How accurate are these forecasting estimations?
Search volumes show the past, not the future. Forecasts are made based on past data, so it is possible that forecasted numbers will not match what the future search volumes actually turn out to be. But there are many cases (such as seasonal keywords) where forecasting can help to streamline your decisions to choose which keywords to rank for.
