GBP Monitor is a tool in the Ahrefs platform that allows you to manage your Google Business Profiles. This is helpful for setting up and managing Local SEO for your business(es).

GBP Monitor is free for subscribers on Lite or higher plans. From Lite onwards, you can add unlimited number of businesses and locations to GBP Monitor.

Save time by making updates to multiple google business profiles at once, and keep a historical record of all updates made to them.
Keep a log of update changes made to your listings
Be it by your team, or Google, GBP monitor keeps a log of updates made to your local listings made by any source.
Real-time alerts for all changes (owner or Google-made)
You can set up real-time email alerts for changes made to your Google Business profile. You can select specific businesses to receive email alerts from, or get alerted about all of them:
Reject unwanted or malicious edits and restore instantly to previous version
Any unintended changes made to your Google Business profiles can be rejected and reverted. This is useful to maintain accurate details on your local business listings, especially if working in a team or if your Google business profiles are being managed on multiple platforms.
Monitor activity and performance
After you connect your google account, you'll be able to see views and interactions made on your google business profiles over time, in the Performance report.

From the Engagement by business chart, you can see interactions or views to each business side-by-side and compare which business gets the highest / lowest engagement across a specified time frame:
This chart can be further filtered by Interaction type and Channel.
Manage reviews across multiple business profiles
From the Reviews report, you can view all Google reviews left by people across all your businesses.
Any unanswered reviews are marked as "Open". You can reply to them by typing your response in the Reply box:
Any text that's left in this box after you click away gets saved as a draft.
This draft can be edited again any time, or discarded. You can also mark review as closed without replying:
Generate replies and batch replies with AI
You can click on Generate reply to get a first draft made by AI. This will open up a window that lets you pick which reviews to reply to, and customize the response you'd like to give to each review:
When ready, click on "Generate". The generated reply will show up in each reply box of the selected reviews, letting you check and edit the generated draft before publishing.
Not happy with what AI made? You can generate a new version of any reply by:
Clicking on "Rewrite"
Entering any additional instructions (optional)
Saving these additional instructions for future responses. This helps to make sure future generated drafts don't make the same mistakes.
How to set up your local business in Google Business Profile(GBP) Monitor?
First, click on "Import businesses" or "Add businesses" from the homepage of GBP Monitor:
You will then be prompted to select and login into the Google account that contains your Google Business profiles.
Adding your GBP business listings requires you to allow Google permissions for Ahrefs to make changes to them on your behalf. Please confirm permissions access to proceed:
Next, you'll be shown the business profiles found on your google account. Select the ones you wish to import, and click on "Import"
After that, you're done!
