Need to find keywords that are trending upwards or downwards over the last few months? Use the Growth metric!

The Growth metric shows keywords’ search volume growth rate over a certain period:

Clicking on this metrics header allows you to sort keywords based on highest or lowest growth rate:

You can also filter keywords by this metric:

Growth rate can be calculated across different time periods

You can select between 3, 6, or 12 months periods from the report header. Numbers for each keyword will be automatically recalculated:

This metric is available in all Keyword ideas reports, multiple keyword list overviews, and Clustering report tabs.

This metric is only available for Advanced plan and higher.

Can the Growth metric be retrieved via API?

Not for now, but you can manually calculate this metric yourself across any number of months using the Volume History API endpoint. Using the API requires the Enterprise plan.
