Signed up for AWT? Great!

Let's get you set up to use Ahrefs right away.

This is the first screen you'll see after you activate your account. There are two ways to add your first project.

We recommend the option on the left: importing via Google Search Console.

It's really quick and easy โ€“ plus, GSC and Analytics data will be available in Site Audit for your website, and also in your Dashboard later on.

With this method, just hit "import" and follow the instructions given. You'll need to connect a Google Account that has your website verified in its Google Search Console.

If you'd prefer to add your project manually, that works too. Hit "add manually" to start the process.

Type your website into the field marked with the arrow above, and your project name will automatically populate. Just hit "continue" after that.

Next, you'll need to verify that you own your website by using any of the methods below.

If you're having any issues with the other three methods, check out our tutorial on how to verify ownership or watch the video below.

Once that's done, hit "continue". You'll be taken to the final stage of setup: scheduling your site audits.

Here, you can tweak your crawls just how you want them, from selecting crawl frequency and specifying your URL sources to adjusting your crawl speed settings and limits.

If it's all a little overwhelming right now, go ahead and leave the default settings as-is. They're enough to get you started, and you can always adjust these settings later on.

Hit finish, and you're done setting up your first project!
