We implemented verification steps to protect our users' accounts from abuse and prevent unauthorized logins.
Why do I have to verify my account every time?
A confirmation email is sent for every new device that is logged in for the same account. The system will force you to verify the identity each time you clear cookies or try to attempt to log in from a new device/IP, sign into your account from an incognito tab or window of your browser, or log in from a different browser.
If you open your workspace using your login details on several devices simultaneously, you will get a confirmation message and need to log in anew.
(You can use Ahrefs on multiple devices but not simultaneously, so if you signed in to one device, you need to log out before using it on another device).
If you share your login details with other users or colleagues, the system will initiate a confirmation procedure. Please note that only one person can use the same login details. Each invited user must utilize their own unique login email and password to access their account, and subsequently switch to the shared workspace.
Can I turn off confirmation emails?
There is currently no available feature to deactivate or circumvent the confirmation message, whitelist IP addresses, or disable the verification procedure.
Once the verification process is completed for a new device, it should work under normal circumstances.
