How Ahrefs' pricing has changed over time

We've changed our prices of each of our subscription plans considerably in the last few years. If you have started your subscription some time ago and are checking your subscription against the current pricing page, you may find that the details may not match exactly. If you are not sure which plan you have, the following section should guide you through on the things you can check to confirm your subscription type.

How to check what subscription plan you have

If you started your Ahrefs subscription before 18th March 2022, most likely you have a Legacy plan

Here's a few ways to confirm that you have a legacy subscription:

  1. If you go to Account Settings > Subscriptions, you will see "Legacy _____ subscription":

  2. Your invoices will be sent via our reseller FastSpring, and the seller would be addressed as "FastSpring". You can download your most recent invoices from the Invoice tab on the same page:

If you have a legacy subscription, it will be switched to one of the new plans by the end of October 2024. You would have received an email about this to your billing email associated with your Ahrefs account.

If you started your Ahrefs subscription after 18th March 2022 but before 10 June 2024, most likely you have a Credit-based plan

Here's a few ways to confirm you have a credit-based subscription:

  1. You have a Credits limit counter at the top, and clicking it will show the current credits used for the month:

  2. If you go to Account Settings > Limits and usage, you will see a Credits usage by user section, where you can configure credit consumption limits for each user:

  3. If you go to Account Settings > Subscriptions, you will see that your plan priced lower than the equivalent plan on our pricing page, AND there's no mention of "legacy". For example, the Standard plan for the below user is priced at 199 USD, when the current Standard plan is 249 USD:

If you started your Ahrefs subscription after 22 April 2024, most likely you have our Latest plans

  • If your subscription currently says "Starter"

  • If have a Lite plan that costs $129 / €119 / £99 / ¥19,900 a month,

Then, you are on the latest plans. Both of these are Credit-based plans.

For standard and higher plans, here's a few ways to confirm you're on the latest Unlimited credit plans:

  1. If you go to Account Settings > Subscriptions, you will see that your plan pricing matches the equivalent plan on our pricing page:

  2. If you go to Account Settings > Limits and usage page, the only limits you'll see are for Projects, Data export, Rank Tracker, and Site Audit:
